“Remember the Times” is a fun, nostalgic and lively entertaining musical production that will have you dancing, singing, and laughing straight through. Take a trip with New Canon Chamber Collective down memory lane as we pay tribute to theme songs from the most iconic Black American sitcoms in history.
Featuring original sitcom theme medley arrangements from some of South Florida’s most talented composers and arrangers, Sarah Ruff, Waldron Dunkley and Jeremy Jordan. This show is one for all generations! Join us for an exciting evening of music, dance, comedy, theater, poetry, film and fun times and we “Remember the Times” together.
“American Soul”, conducted by Marlon Daniel, featuring internationally acclaimed opera vocalists, Angela Brown, soprano, and Stephen Salters, baritone, Saturday, December 3rd at the Broward Performing Arts Center in Ft. Lauderdale and Sunday December 4th at the Sanctuary of the Arts in Coral Gables. The repertoire for this concert presents three distinct voices in American classical music who all embody the sound of American music, William Grant Still’s Symphony No. 5, Florence Price’s The Oak, and Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess Concert Suite. Performed by the New Canon Chamber Orchestra and New Canon Vocal Ensemble, a multicultural collective of South Florida’s most outstanding musicians, this season’s opener will be a performance to remember.
